Public Policy Polling shocker — forecast for 2012 bleak for Obama

To summarize the poll’s findings, they asked responents who they would vote for in head to head contests between Obama and 5 different Republican “potential challengers” for the presidential election in 2012; Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, and Jan Brewer.  Read the article for the results.

The thing to bear in mind above all else with this poll, is that it’s NOT a Rassmussen poll, or any of the others favored by GOP wonks; Public Policy Polling is notoriously left-wing. The article even sites that the sample group of respondents is weighted about 5 points towards registered Democrats!

    Why is Ron Paul never in these “potential challenger” polls? Didn’t he tie Romney at the SRLC? Didn’t Palin finish behind Paul in several inner-party polls for the GOP?
