a good cry . . .
I cried and had many people contact me to say this was powerful. My friend Matt shared it with me. Thanks Matt
When I returned from the Army in 1971, I wasn’t saluted, I was spit on. When I returned to school (Miami Dade CC) one of my teachers was making derogatory comments about soldiers who fought in Viet Nam. I stood up and asked him if he was ever in Viet Nam. He said no. I told him I was and that he was an idiot for spouting nonsense, then I walked out. I was joined by three others who were also Viet Nam vets.
I complained to the head of the department, who backed the teacher.
The spitters, some of the students and teachers from that era are now running our government.
Just wait until November when we veterans will be voting.
