Celebrating our Country’s birthday, a day early!

Southflorida912’ers and friends got an early start on celebrating America’s 235th birthday by repeating what we did last year. We started with a late breakfast at the Original Pancake House in Palm Beach Gardens. We filled the center tables and most of the booths, mingling with newcomers and long-time members alike. Unlike last year – when there were a lot of candidates vying for our attention prior to the upcoming primary, this time we were there to rejoice in America! There was a lot of lively conversation until it was time to head over to Christ Fellowship for their patriotic service.

The service began with a song-filled, video salute to the flag and faith and the country and our troops. Pastor Tom Mullins service highlighted the Founding Fathers’ deliberations and quotations about the integral role God had in the formation of our country. He decried the actions of courts and movements in the last 50 years who have focused on rewriting history and instilling political correctness in order to wipe out the values and principles upon which the country was built. He decried the attempt to convince the populace that our lives are compartmentalized; that our public, private, political, work, family and religious lives are all separate. There is no such separation and our ethics, values and beliefs are inseparable. The time for political correctness is gone. He expressed his hope and faith in the future of the country and in everyone’s ability to make a difference!

What a wonderful gathering of Patriots on a day when our freedoms and independence are honored.
